The Lido, Funchal
The Lido is the residential and hotel area on Funchal's western side, a short walk down to the seafront. The promenade runs along the cliffs with places to swim from rocks and ladders, the Lido public pool complex, cafés and restaurants. Supermarkets, bus stops on Estrada Monumental and taxis are all close by, and the city centre is a short bus or taxi ride east.
